Horseriding

Whether you are a novice or an experienced rider this is equestrian fairyland and there are numerous excellent stables where you can hire horses, take lessons or bring your own horse for livery. You can gallop along miles of beach or dunes, or simply hack along grassy byways. You can ride on the high moors and maybe venture into Doone Country - a very pretty valley. There are many locations described in 'Lorna Doone' that can be seen. Exmoor is compact with a lot going on and ever changing scenery. You can ride through deer country, see wild ponies and goats. You can ride on open moor, by the sea, at the top of majestic cliffs or gorgeous wooded valleys. It's wild, it's wet, it's whatever you like. Here you can find your own piece of heaven.
