Sea Kayaking

Combe Martin is reckoned to be among the best places for Sea Kayak fishing. You have mackerel, sea bass and pollack in addition to crab and lobster in the rocky areas.

If not fishing you may choose just to nose around the coves and caves, many used by smugglers in the past, or just land on one of the many beaches for a picnic. Some beaches can only be reached by water. The waters are generally safe in good weather. You do need to be aware however that we have the second highest tides in the world. For the experienced this can mean a roller coaster catapult out and back as you follow the tidal streams. For those less experienced you are advised to stay inshore and out of trouble.

If bringing your own equipment we have large lockable storage areas and our own car park.

One national newspaper said that Combe Martin beach had the best rock pools in the country.
